1. Acceptance of these terms
By booking a service, using our website, or engaging with FixPoint Tech Assist Ltd, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Independent service
FixPoint Tech Assist Ltd is an independent technical support provider. We are not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, or acting as an agent of HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Microsoft, or any other manufacturer of devices or software we support. Any manufacturer names referenced on our website or during a session are used solely to describe the equipment we assist with.
3. Description of services
We provide independent technical assistance, including printer setup, wireless printer installation, driver installation, general troubleshooting, network printing assistance and remote technical assistance, delivered remotely or on-site as agreed at the time of booking.
4. Bookings and quotes
Quotes provided before a session are based on the information you give us. If the issue turns out to be more complex once we begin, we will always confirm any change in price with you before continuing.
5. Payment
Payment is due at the time of, or immediately following, the session unless otherwise agreed in writing for Business Support customers. We accept major payment cards processed through a secure third-party payment provider.
6. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information about the issue, ensure we (or our remote software) have appropriate access to the relevant device, and back up any important data before a session, particularly where software changes are involved. We recommend backing up your data before any support session as a matter of good practice.
7. Remote access
Remote sessions require you to install and run permission-based remote-access software and to grant explicit consent for the session. You may end a remote session at any time.
8. Limitation of liability
We take reasonable care and skill in performing our services. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for pre-existing hardware faults, data loss that occurs independently of our work, or issues arising from third-party software or manufacturer defects. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where such limitation is not permitted by law.
9. Cancellations and rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule a booked session with reasonable notice as set out at the time of booking. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a reasonable administrative charge, communicated to you in advance.
